UPDATE! This flyer says that this EXCITING EVENT is just off Hawthorne, in NE Portland … I wish! Then I could walk there!
The event is in SOUTHEAST PORTLAND, people. 1522 SE 32nd. Not NE. SE. See? Good. More after the fold …
Word to my P-Town homey-slices! What are you doing next Sunday night? I’m doing this:
For all you blind people and Linux users, that was a flyer inviting you to the next installment of SHUT UP AND WRITE! – a monthly get-together for local writers to hang out and get some writing done in the pleasant environs of CHANCE OF RAIN CAFE in Southeast Portland. I’ll be there, Sunday October 28th from 7:30 to 9:30 PM, as your official Host. The organizers of the event have asked me to do a short reading, and I have said “sure!” You’ve already heard me read from the bear book, but perhaps I will read something else. Perhaps I’ll do a puppet show instead! I am a loose cannon that way. So duck!
Yes, duck on in to CHANCE OF RAIN CAFE, at 1522 SE 32nd Avenue, just off Hawthorne. Sunday October 28th, 7:30 PM! (And I highly recommend you drop by the DOLLAR SCHOLAR beforehand — situated nearby on the corner of 33nd and Hawthorne — and procure yourself a psychedelic rubber squeeze toy. You’ll need it!)
